About the trip.
Depending on the number of participants you will make this excursion in a taxi, minibus or a so-called “Coaster “, all with air conditioning. In any case, you always make the trip with your own private driver and guide, because large impersonal groups are not “Our thing “.
The price for this excursion depends on the number of participants and the rates prevailing at that time in Egypt. The price applicable to your company can be requested via the application form at the bottom of this page.
This excursion includes:
- Transport with your own driver in an air-conditioned Taxi/van or Coaster,
- Your (3-star) hotel accommodation in Aswan, based on Bed & Breakfast,
- A lunch on the first day.
Not included are:
- The entrance fees (as they change regularly)
- Drink during the trip,
- Tips for the driver (and possibly guide),
- Personal expenses (such as souvenirs, etc.)
- Other dinners and lunches.
Optional:
- An English, German or French-speaking guide,
- A lunchbox.
day-to-day schedule
The trip
The first day:
You depart from your hotel at 06.30 in the morning, after which you drive to Aswan at 07.00. On the way to Aswan, you will visit the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo.
After arriving in Aswan, you will be taken to your 3-star hotel; For example, the Besna Hotel or the Cleopatra Hotel. If you want a more luxurious accommodation, we can recommend the Isis Corniche Hotel at an additional cost. (as the name implies, this hotel is located directly on the main road that runs through Aswan, on the Nile), where you get the time to freshen up.
Then on this first day the Nubian Museum (appr. Two hours) will be on the program.
After dinner in (for example) the Aswan Moon (the Aswan Moon is a cozy, floating restaurant on the Corniche of Aswan.) You can choose between visiting the Sound & Light Show on Philae Island or visiting the Souq of Aswan.
After a final drink in one of the many teahouses, return to your hotel.
The second day:
Around 04.00 in the morning you depart in convoy to Abu Simbel, to visit the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, located directly at Lake Nasser.
After this visit we will return to Aswan around noon. The expected arrival time in Aswan is around 16.00 hrs. If you still have the energy for it, your guide and driver can still give you some advice to visit.

Third day:
After our breakfast, early in the morning, we go (back) to the Isis temple. This time to view this beautiful temple once in daylight (possibly using your guide).
After Philae temple you have the choice: a trip on the Nile, including Lunch, or a visit to the unfinished Obelisk and the high Dam of Aswan.
Then we drive back to Luxor, where we will arrive at about 19.00.
